Our Services

For the one. For the many.

We know that the need is huge, with so many children currently in care, and it can be overwhelming to consider the magnitude of the problem, but we are not letting that deter us from doing something and starting somewhere. As John Maxwell, Leadership Expert, puts it, 'Even the smallest action is better than the greatest intention.'

So we're starting in very tangible, practical ways, and connecting in with long established organisations.

Our outputs are very targeted, and we believe that they can lead to significant outcomes: that with each backpack, gift or encouragement, we are making a difference and if not changing the whole world quite yet, we're changing someone's world. We'll start there. With the one, for the many.

"As someone who was in care, I can't express how much this would have meant to me then! When my belongings were in rubbish bags - it made a bad situation even worse. I felt so worthless, unloved and forgotten. These bags have made such a difference already! They have shown so much love."

Our Services

HEIR KITS

There for children when they need it most.

Heir Kits are boxes full of games, toys and other therapeutic things, like mindfulness colouring books, lego, play-doh, blocks, blankets, story books and fidget sipnners: all to be kept at local Police Stations.

Designed with these traumatic moments in mind, we are intentionally softening the impact of this experience where children are kept in police stations in emergencies; at this moment they have nowhere to go and nothing to do, and likely feel alone and afraid. These kits ensure they know that they have been thought of, considered and prepared for.

They are intended to help pass the time and distract the mind as well as convey love and value in a difficult moment. They are packed to cater from toddler to teen, to help minimise the impact of trauma whatever the age.

HEIR GEAR

Giving dignity and love to every child entering care.

These are backpacks given from Social Workers or Teachers to children and young people who are entering care, in a moment of real need and trauma.

Designed to give dignity and love to every child entering care, whether a refugee, going into care or temporary housing, they are practical and thoughtful and are essentially love in a bag.

Our backpacks are durable and practical, chosen with school or college in mind, and are filled with essential things, like hygiene products, and water bottles. They also include carefully chosen gifts, like fidget toys, mindfulness colouring books, or age appropriate story books, soft toys or blankets, and include bespokely designed affirmation cards to help them speak and believe truth about themselves: they are loved, they are smart, they have hope.

These are all items designed to fill the eyes and hearts, and to occupy the hands and mind.
